  2. FIXED BUGS

  4. * Password Corral Not Year 2000 Compatible
  5.  
  6. Versions 2.0.4.12 and earlier of Password Corral were not ready for the year
  7. 2000 problem. While previous versions should still work, and password
  8. information isn't compromised, password expiration notices won't function
  9. correctly.
  10.  
  11. This bug was fixed as of version 2.0.5.13. If you're using a date format other
  12. than the standard US format (m/d/yy), the first time you start Password Corral
  13. it will not warn you if any of your passwords have expired and won't update the
  14. number of days till expiration. Understand that this will only happen the first
  15. time you launch v2.0.5.13 or later. Once your registry has been updated to the
  16. new date format that Password Corral uses, future launches of the program will
  17. update and report password expiration information as normal. If you're using a
  18. non-US date format and are having trouble with v2.0.5.13 or later, please
  19. contact us right away.

  21. Because of the complexity of Year 2000 compliance, Cygnus Productions cannot
  22. make any guarantees as to being 100% compliant. We've made every effort to make
  23. sure Password Corral is up to code, but because we rely on other software
  24. vendor's tools to create Password Corral, unforeseen Y2K issues could affect
  25. the program beyond our control. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

  28. * Password Corral Would Not Import Some Password Export Files
  29.  
  30. Versions 2.0.2.9 and earlier of Password Corral would not properly import a
  31. password export file. Symptoms include early termination of the import with an
  32. error, a complete import with bad data or restarting Password Corral after an
  33. import with an error similar to "xxx is not a valid integer."
  34.  
  35. The problem centered around carriage returns in the "Notes" field for each
  36. password. If a carriage return (pressing the ENTER key) was contained in the
  37. "Notes" field for any or all of the passwords in the export file, the import
  38. would not function properly.
  39.  
  40. This bug was fixed as of version 2.0.3.10. After upgrading to the new version
  41. of Password Corral, generate a new export file. Export files generated with
  42. this new version, and all future versions, will import correctly, whether or
  43. not the "Notes" field has multiple lines. Note that versions 2.0.2.9 and
  44. earlier cannot import these new password export files as the file format has
  45. changed.

  47. There is a workaround if your original install of Password Corral has been
  48. deleted or is no longer functioning due to an import of a faulty export file.
  49.  
  50. 1)  Create a backup copy of the faulty export file.
  51. 2)  Open the export file in Notepad, or any other text editor.
  52. 3)  Scroll through the file and locate note entries for each of the password
  53.     entries. For each entry, make sure all note text appears on a single line.
  54.     There should be no carriage returns/blank lines separating the note text.
  55. 4)  Save the file.
  56. 5)  Make sure version 2.0.3.10 or later of Password Corral is installed on your
  57.     PC. Start Password Corral and create a new user account. Import the
  58.     password export file into this new account.

  60. Your password list should now be imported properly and visible to you.

  63. * Username Information Corrupt After Importing a Password Export File
  64.  
  65. Versions 2.0.2.9 and earlier of Password Corral would corrupt username
  66. information on a import.
  67.  
  68. The problem occurred when the current master password was different from the
  69. password that was used to generate the password export file.
  70.  
  71. This bug was fixed as of version 2.0.3.10. Importing a password export file,
  72. even one generated by a previous version, should no longer corrupt username
  73. information if the master password is different from the password that created
  74. the export file.

  78. KNOWN BUGS

  80. * Toolbar Icons are Corrupt with Some Video Boards
  81.  
  82. Versions 1.5.x and later of Password Corral will display corrupt toolbar icons
  83. with certain video boards.
  84.  
  85. The problem has been noticed with Diamond Multimedia's Viper V330 video board.
  86. This is a known issue and is not a problem with Password Corral, but the
  87. compiler used to create it. We've contacted the vendor, but cannot fix the
  88. problem until they fix their compiler. As soon as they do, we'll issue a fix
  89. for Password Corral.
